It’s only fitting that Stat Boy finally win the High Rollers Tournament. I think he had won pretty much every other award out there: He got the Champion’s Chalice, the ACE award, the Full 40, the Hundo, etc etc etc. So it was about time he step up and capture the HRT!
Mark Tichenor joined the league way back in like Skeeson III I think. After a few skeesons, he still didn’t have a nickname and started pushing for Derek Skeeter as his monicker. A few people acquiesced, but for the most part it wasn’t sticking. But the one thing that was sticking was that everyone noticed how up on top of the skee stats he was. He could tell you where your team ranked, what the team in front of you and behind you had, and it was even more accurate when it came to individual stats. He was like the rain man of skee stats. And hence, the name Stat Boy started floating around, and before you know it, it was sticking like crazy.
So congrats on the HRT, Stat Boy! Let’s see you go for a repeat in Skeeson IX !
