You ever get the feeling that you’re just being f*cked with? Like at first you’re like “okay, cool” but then it starts slowly turning to “wait a minute, are they f*cking with me?”
Well that’s what I think is going on between Dynaskee and me. After Week 1 they rolled a 911. Impressive. In Week 2 they jumped that up to a 936, which was largely ignored by the media due to Skee Generation X dropping an all-time record on everybody that week. I talked to the editor of Rolling Times about doing a “don’t sleep on Dynaskee” story while all this Gen X hype was going on, but my requests fell on deaf ears. In Week 3 they rolled a career high 974. Now I was starting to think they were definitely f*cking with me. “Not gonna give us any coverage huh? We’ll just keep rolling higher and higher, Farrell. You can’t hold us down.” And then Week 4 came along and they gave me the huge proverbial middle finger while shooting “f*ck you, man” glances my way after each big roll and finishing with a 1032.
Wow. So I convinced the editor to throw them a little love this week, hopefully this will get them back to hugs and high fives with me as opposed to death stares and middle fingers. If this were any other skeeson in any other league, Dynaskee would be the hands down favorite for the Chalice after rolling the way they have been, but Duke, Big Play Ray, and Burgundy have something to say about that. And if you check the comments section, you can see there’s a lot being said.
CT has now thrown down the gauntlet, challenging the boys to play Dynaskee up the middle when they face each other.
I like the challenge, but I can already see where it’s headed: Week 8, #1 Gen X plays #2 Dynaskee. They play up the middle and Gen X wins (maybe). Now let’s fast forward to Super Saturday, and imagine both of these teams are now playing in the Finals. The “up the middle” challenge will be thrown out again but this time, Skee Gen X, already eyeing up the Chalices, will say “we’ve already beat you up the middle, we’re going hundos.” And that will be that.
I like where CT’s head is at, and I started wondering…..can these Gen X guys beat some of these better teams if they play up the middle? I think it would be fun to watch if they stayed true to their 40/50 and took on Dynaskee, 867-5skee09, Easy Skeezy Beautiful Cover Girls, Cataskeena Wine Mixer, etc.
We’ll never know though. Skee Gen X is here to break records and take home a chalice. Not to make things interesting. And on that note, I’ll direct you back to the smack talk section on the website. I’m on a horse.
